MEET CHARLES

Charles (left) is a 5th grader in our McCarver Scholars program. “At McCarver Scholars, we work on homework, we go on fun field trips, and we learn about strengths like responsibility and grit. I’ve even learned that I’m very excellent at what I do when I get to have fun and exercise too. I really like playing sports, and my favorite two sports are football and soccer. My goal is to be a professional athlete, and I want to go to college at either University of Washington or University of Oregon. MEET ANDREA

Andrea has been a Hilltop Scholar since her sophomore year of high school and is starting college this year. “It was always nice to be around people who believed in me and pushed me to do more than I thought I could. My Academic Coach would always tell me ‘You’ve got this Andrea, you can do this’ and that really helped me to see I could do more than I thought I could.” -Andrea, Hilltop Scholar.
