The Peace Community Center Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to pause all education programming for the 2023-24 school year in order to regain financial sustainability, fiscal clarity, and build a healthier partnership between board, staff, and Peace Lutheran Church, our foundational partner in service to the Hilltop community. We plan to enter into a strategic planning process this spring to engage our community and partners to discern how Peace Community Center can best continue to serve the Hilltop community. Even amidst this difficult time, we are thankful for the thousands of young people Peace Community Center has served during our more than two decades of programming. Welcome to the Peace Pathway

Peace Community Center offers a pathway model of holistic services that supports students in grades 2-12, college and career with academic and social-emotional resources, enrichments and development.

In partnership with Tacoma Public Schools and students’ families, Peace Community Center lives out its mission through youth development and education-focused programming. We focus on building relationships that support students to be successful from elementary school through high school graduation to college and sustainable careers. Our goal is for students to graduate from high school and obtain a post-secondary degree that fits their career goals. We believe that with this educational background our students will be well-positioned to obtain careers with the skills, experience and values that actively contribute to more just and vibrant communities, especially in the Hilltop of Tacoma.
