Meet L. Denice Randle, our new Executive Director

We are so excited to introduce L. Denice Randle as our new Executive Director!

Denice was a first generation college student, and is a recipient of the Act Six Leadership and Scholarship Initiative. She has her Associate’s Degrees from Pierce College, a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language Arts from Whitworth University, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Pacific Lutheran University. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Whitworth University. In 2013, Pierce College recognized her as a Distinguished Alumna for her community impact work.

Denice’s experience in non-profit leadership, college and career readiness, and school administration are perfectly aligned to drive Peace Community Center to the next phases of student development, strategic partnership and community impact.

Denice states about coming to Peace Community Center, “I am thrilled to be selected as Peace’s newest Executive Director. I look forward to a long-term relationship working with our outstanding program teams to impact the educational outcomes of scholars and to partner with Peace Lutheran Church to fulfill the center’s mission of community impact for the Hilltop neighborhood.”

Denice is a visionary and strategic leader with a commitment to achieving educational equity for historically underrepresented individuals, families, and communities. Most recently, Denice served as the Regional Director of College Readiness for Tacoma and Seattle schools. In this position, she designed and implemented a strategic plan that ensured 100% of seniors graduated and were accepted to 4-year institutions of best fit. She has experience as a high school Assistant Principal and is a former Director of Education and Employment at the Metropolitan Development Council in Tacoma.

We are so grateful for the community’s incredible support throughout this transition process! Denice looks forward to meeting community members and stakeholders in the near future. If you are interested in arranging a meeting with Denice, she will be officially joining our team on July 1st.
