When students enter our middle school program, they officially become Bobcat Scholars. Peace’s middle school students focus on preparing for high school. Through individualized academic coaching; after-school tutoring and mentoring; and community partner-led enrichments, our diverse student body is exposed to a variety of opportunities to explore their interests in an encouraging environment.
Summer Learning
Summer fun and learning continues at the middle school level as scholars attend our four-week Summer Academy. While remaining engaged in STEAM, scholars complete three hours of reading, writing and math each day. However, summer is about more than classroom learning and students participate in daily fitness and leadership activities like flag football, basketball, and the student leadership council.
Academic Coaching
Every scholar is paired with an Academic Coach who meets with them every other week during the school year. The purpose of the coaching relationship is to help students set academic goals and create time management strategies in preparation for high school. Coaches also support scholars in navigating social and life changes that may arise in middle school.
